Helmut aka Achilles is one of the many descendants of the immortal Agamemnon. Helmut was born in Germany in 1909 and was a Jew. Helmut married and with his wife he had three children, two girls and a boy. Helmut and his family were abducted by the Nazis and placed in the Dachau concentration camp during World War II. Helmut's family was killed when they were forced into the gas chambers. At some point during World War II, Agamemnon, Helmut's true father found Helmut and brought him back to the Pantheon and gave him the codename Achilles.

Achilles powers make him invulnerable to almost anything. Achilles was usually the field leader for the Pantheon agents in the field. Achilles became angry when Agamemnon invited the Hulk into the group. Achilles was vulnerable to gamma rays. When the Hulk was around Achilles became vulnerable.

Achilles was closest with teammates Ulysses who was his protégé. Achilles also developed a romance with Atalanta which angered teammate Ajax who had a crush on Atalanta.

Achilles did most of Agamemnon's dirty work for him. When Agamemnon ordered Jason to kill the original Ulysses he refused and the task fell to Achilles. Achilles then lied to the Pantheon and said that Ulysses wanted Walter Charles as his successor. When the rest of the Pantheon turned on Agamemnon it was Achille who stood by Agamemnon. Achilles wanted the power Agamemnon promised. Achilles was killed during a fight with his student Ulysses.[1]
